I was recently among the lucky first visitors to United Airlines’ new United Club Lounge in Denver International Airport. This luxurious new multi-story United Club opened only three days prior, and is one of United Airlines’ largest lounges to date. Known as the United Club Terminal B West, it had plenty of relaxation space, cozy areas to hide away and two premium-quality bars within the magnificent new space.

Flying home this August, I found myself once again in the midst of travel chaos. Luckily, I stumbled upon an unexpected luxury oasis in Denver International Airport (DEN). United Airlines’ new luxury lounge had only been open for three days when I got the opportunity to spend my morning waiting for my flight home after an overnight weather delay that had stranded me in Denver. The weather is something the city seems to be famous for.
What I found beyond the new lounge smell was a respite of calm within the madness of one of the largest US airports. United’s new Denver lounge on the west side of Terminal B features local Colorado-themed decor and artwork, and offers plenty of space to relax. This lounge complements the equally large East lounge located on the other side of Terminal B, which opened in 2023.

I was amazed by the sense of space and openness, as well as the incredible tarmac views out each side of the United multi-floor United Club lounge.

According to the United Airlines attendant I spoke to, this sparkly new lounge was nearly two years in the making, having closed for renovations in 2023. The United Airlines new multi-floor lounge overlooks Terminal B, which is situated next to the striking Jeppesen Terminal, shown above.
The United Club offers amazing views of Terminals T, A, and C with the massive control tower on the Terminal C side.
Customer Service at the United Club Denver
Access to the lounge is by the new self-scan entry gates; however, customer service agents are there to help on each floor with many aspects of your flight. If you have lounge access, these agents can rebook missed flights, make changes to your travel itinerary, etc.
As I had completely missed my flight in Denver the evening before, the United lounge agents were able to make all my itinerary changes without me standing in the long lines in the main terminal. This was a massive time saver!
The only tiny letdown was that this United Lounge didn’t have the peppermint Lifesavers mints that are always on offer at the front desk. Maybe they were on backorder!

Privacy and Sanctuary in the United Club Lounge Denver
The new space is spread over two stories in the centre of Denver’s Terminal “B”. It offers multiple bars, two buffets, small pods to work, and open casual spaces. Of course, all the modern amenities are here, and even one that was a surprise, it’s equipped with robots that collect dishes! Free, fast WIFI is also included in all of their clubs.

On this busy weekday morning, it was surprisingly easy to find a comfy spot to settle as the lounge can accommodate 600 passengers. Contrast this to the older, more crowded lounges where finding a seat was a chore.

Food and Drinks in Denver’s New United Club Lounge
Plenty of food and drink offerings are available free of charge at the new lounge, including house wines and beer. Top-shelf alcohol is also available at the two spacious bars for an extra charge.
There are large buffet areas on each floor featuring meals throughout the day. Breakfast was served the morning I was there, with fresh fruit, bagels, yogurt, pastries and eggs. For lunch, expect a light lunch of sandwiches, soups and salads. Coffee machines served a decent cup of Illy Coffee in a variety of drink styles.
Separate bars are on each floor, each built with a different style. There were many private, out-of-the-way seating areas to eat or enjoy your drink in which also included booth seating.

Amenities in the United Club Lounge Denver
This sparkling new United Club in Denver offers seating for 600, many cozy areas for seating, including areas around a beautiful central fireplace. Wellness rooms, games area, and upscale gender specific and all-gender restrooms on each floor.
Refreshment stations were located throughout the club, offering filtered water and fruit-infused waters from self-serve areas. Pop, juice and coffee are available throughout the lounge. Free Wifi is included for lounge visitors.
There were no showers available, which was too bad, as Denver serves a multitude of international destinations.

Who Can Access the New United Club Lounge in Denver?
Passengers in qualifying premium cabins, such as international business class, active military personnel, and those with United status, qualify for access to United Club Lounges. Star Alliance Gold members also have access to this great new lounge with qualifying same-day tickets. It is best to check with United Airlines on the entry requirements – they can be found on the airline’s website here.

The lounge overlooks the central pedestrian moving walkways above the terminal. The United Club Terminal B West is open from 5:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. daily.

About Denver International Airport (DEN)
Denver International Airport is a major mid-continent airport located in Denver, Colorado, USA. It is one of the primary hubs for United Airlines and serves 26 other airlines, such as Frontier and Southwest, among many others. The Airport sits outside of the city of Denver, approximately 40 km away and can be reached by train, taxi, Uber, etc. It was about $75 for a cab ride to the city centre and $60 for an Uber back at the time of my visit.

Conclusion and final thoughts
This is a much-needed update to the tired United lounges of the past. There are not a lot of new amenities at the new lounge, but it looks like it will significantly increase the capacity and reduce congestion and the refreshing Denver-inspired design is both calming and peaceful. I was really pleased to spend time in this quiet oasis, and look forward to using it again when I transit through Denver.
