KLM Airlines, the Amsterdam based Dutch national airline introduces new routes for Caribbean sun seekers and business travellers alike this fall and winter 2025-2026 travel season. The airline will expand its list of Caribbean destinations by adding a KLM Airlines Barbados non-stop flight to the sunny Caribbean island.
Flights run three times a week to the sunny island location of Bridgetown, Barbados. The flight will continue on to the near-by island destination of Georgetown, Guyana and will be offered as a seasonal service From October 26, 2025, to March 26, 2026. KLM previously operated similar direct flights to Bridgetown, Barbados during the winter travel seasons in 2021-2022.
KLM flying Boeing 787-9 on new flights to Bridgetown, Barbados
The Dutch Flag carrier, KLM will run its three times weekly service on this new Caribbean route using its modern 787-900 wide-body aircraft. The KLM 787 aircraft features a three class configuration with 30 luxury pod seats in KLM World Business Class, 21 seats in its newly updated Premium Comfort Class, and 224 seats in Economy. The ‘Garden City of the Caribbean’, Georgetown is known for its British and Dutch colonial influenced architecture, such as the large Stabroek Market, the largest and busiest market in Georgetown featuring its prominent landmark iron clock tower.
Guyana is not known as a well developed tourist destination like many of its Caribbean neighbours, but it does have a rapidly developing oil and gas industry, and, in contrast eco tourism businesses. According to many government websites it is not advised as a safe tourist destination.
